AFA Teens Alzheimer’s Awareness Scholarship: Essay required on how Alzheimer’s has impacted your own life or your family or community. Deadline: February 15 . Go to afateens.org.

Ball State University: Several scholarship opportunities available to incoming freshman.

Departmental awards, Emens scholarship for leadership & academics. SAT & class rank for presidential award. Go to www.bsu.edu and search for scholarships.

Freshman Scholarship in Journalism. Deadline: February 1 st

Bowsher Foundation Scholarship: The Nelson P. Bowsher is a $1,500 renewable award for graduates of St. Joe. County. Letter of application, three character references, and CSS profile required.

Must submit profile by February 1, 2015 or before, code #0346.

DEADLINE: March 1, 2015 .

Chopin Fine Arts Club: $1,500 award for St. Joe. County residents graduating seniors. Must plan to study fine arts in advertising, communications, creative writing, English, fashion design, foreign language, graphic design, interior design, journalism, literature, and speech. Financial statement required in application and short essay.

DEADLINE: February 28, 2015.

Franklin College: Various scholarships listed below are available to incoming students.

Ben Franklin Distinguished Scholarship: Superior academic achievement. Full tuition, fees, room and board.

Presidents Scholarship: Academic achievement and leadership. You must have an SAT score of

1100 or an ACT score of 27. You must also be in the top 10% of your class. Applications automatically are sent to qualifying applicants. Full tuition is renewable. DEADLINE:

February 2015.

Deans Scholarship: Amount is $5,000. You must be in the top 25% of class, have at least an

1100 on SAT or 25 on ACT. Automatically awarded to qualifying students.

Hazel Dell Neff Smelser: Scholarship for students planning to study in the area of music.

Recommendation from band or choir director required. DEADLINE: February 15, 2015 .

Holy Cross College: Presidential scholarship. Amount of $2,000. You must have a GPA of 3.0 and an

SAT score of 1000 or ACT of 24. Contact Holy Cross College if attending.

Indiana Association of Educational Office Professionals: Must have completed 2 business classes.

For seniors who will study in an office related field. Amount of $500. Application requires recommendations. One page essay.

Pansy Walker Scholarship: Must be in top 10% of class, have a GPA of a 3.7, an SAT of 900 or

ACT of 21. Must enter the School of Education. Amount is $1,000 renewable. DEADLINE: February

2015.

Nancy Jaynes Memorial Scholarship: $1,000 scholarship for students whose parents has battled breast cancer. DEADLINE: February 9, 2015.

North Central Co-op Scholarship – 5 years in 4-H or 2 years in FFA and parents are current patrons of NCC. Essay required DEADLINE: March 1, 2015.

Operation Roundup Scholarship: For seniors whose parents/guardian is a member of Kankakee

Valley REMC. Essay required. Amount is $500 - $1,000. DEADLINE: February 26, 2015 .

Physicians Health Plan: Scholarship program for students planning to pursue a health related fields.

You must have a GPA of 3.0 or above. Essay required. DEADLINE: February 20, 2015 . Applications available at www.phpni.com find under “News”.

School of Agriculture

School of Health Sciences- Freshman scholars program; SAT=1250 or ACT=28;

valedictorian or salutatorian.

Department of Bands – Leath Scholarship: For students enrolled in assigned

assemble; complete musical audition.

Department of Food and Nutrition – Kellogg Company Scholarship: For students

majoring in food and nutrition. DEADLINE: February 28, 2015.

Horticulture Department – Laurenz Greene Memorial Scholarship: For students personal qualities and interest. All freshman majoring in horticulture may apply.

Trine University: For a senior who receives a Lilly Scholarship. If you attend Trine University, you will receive an additional scholarship for your room and board.
