Welcome to the wonderful world of IB Psychology!! This year should prove to be challenging and rigorous but also
interesting and fun. The class is centered around discussion, so being prepared for class is mandatory.
Psychological Studies Assignment Background:
Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes, and all of modern psychology is centered on research.
As such, your summer assignment involves reading some of the most important studies conducted in the history of
psychology, in the book entitled 40 Studies that Changed Psychology. Of these 40 studies you will be responsible for
reading and completing the 40 Studies assignment sheet for the 8 studies listed below. You are encouraged to read the
entire book, as all 40 of the studies will be discussed in class at some point throughout the year. All required 40 studies
assignments must be typed and submitted to turnitin.com! All studies must be numbered (from # 1 – 8).
You will read and evaluate the following studies:
