AP Psychology 2014 Summer Work Mr. Hrynyk & Ms. Rosen Welcome to the wonderful world of AP Psychology!! This year should prove to be challenging and rigorous but also interesting and fun. We will be covering the entirety of your textbook before April break, so, yes, we move quickly and self-motivation is a must. The class is centered around discussion, so being prepared for class is mandatory. Our goal is to get each and every one of you a 5 on the AP test – so get ready for a whirlwind year. Psychological Studies Assignment Background: Psychology is the scientific study of behavior and mental processes, and all of modern psychology is centered around research. As such, your summer assignment involves reading some of the most important studies conducted in the history of psychology, in the book entitled 40 Studies that Changed Psychology. Of these 40 studies you will be responsible for reading and completing the 40 Studies assignment sheet for the 11 studies listed below. If you would like to go above and beyond, as well as get a head start on the school year, we encourage you to read the entire book, as all 40 of the studies will be discussed in class at some point throughout the year.
