This expression, as far as we can tell, does not appear in any credible English
translation of the Word of God (KJV, JND, YLT, NKJV, etc.). It is an expression
which could be used in many different situations with many different meanings
attached to it.
“Prime” and “reality” have many different dictionary meanings as used in the
English language, but perhaps the following meanings would be most closely associated with the Bible, the living, divine Word of God.
“Prime” means ‘of first importance’. “Reality” means ‘a condition or thing as it
actually exists’.
Thus we may simply say that in regards to the truth of God, His Word is truth and
only in God’s Word as led by the Spirit of God, may we find morally true prime
reality. That is, God must be ‘prime’ or first in all things we think, say and do for He
is the eternal God to Whom all things are and must be subject. We find this thought,
for example, in Colossians 1: “And he is the head of the body, the church: who is
the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the
preeminence” (Col. 1:18).
We add that the Word of God is also “prime reality” in that it must also be submitted to
by each soul—for all are responsible to God. It is the revealed mind of God for man. Any
one who spurns the divine, inspired Word will reap everlasting judgement.
Here is what God has to say about His Word. Jesus (who is God the eternal, only
begotten Son) said; “Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass
away” (Luke 21:33).
We read in Psalms 138:2; “I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy
name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word
above all thy name.”
“For the word of God is quick [living], and powerful, and sharper than any
twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of
the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the
heart” (Heb. 4:12).
