--2) Begin reading James McBride’s, The Color of Water. Annotate,
complete the dialectical journal format* and answer the study guide
questions as you read. These handouts will be provided in class. (This is an
independent read; however, be mindful that your goal is to complete the reading by 09/29- 09/30
for Socratic Seminar on that day, and final assessment on the complete text, 10/01-10/02. Your
dialectical dialectical journal format and study guide questions will be due on the day of the final
assessment.)
