Nordic Bulkers’ Environmental Policy
At Nordic Bulkers AB we are well aware of the justified and escalating demands placed upon
companies within the transport sector in order to mitigate the overall environmental impact of our
activities and the effects on our own as well as our customers, consignees and suppliers’ working
environment. We will always strive to meet or exceed any reasonable demands in these respects and
naturally comply with applicable legislation.
We are constantly working to:
n develop logistics solutions that take environmental, health and safety related factors into
consideration by choosing transport systems and integrated components which incorporate,
among other features, a low environmental impact as well as a low energy consumption
n adopt a comprehensive perspective based on hard facts regarding the overall environmental
impact of our transport systems
n seek cooperation with all parties involved in the entire transport system as well as with research
institutes and organizations in order to jointly increase the efficacy of our environmental efforts
n always endeavour to monitor and evaluate the momentary as well as the total life-cycle
environmental impact when choosing transport equipment and continually aspire to define and
minimize both short- and long term environmentally deprecating effects
n create a sound profitability in order to increase our capability to advance our environmental efforts
and strengthen our economical as well as our ecological competitiveness
n reduce the environmental impact during transport, storage and handling, by implementation of
preventive measures in order to reduce negative effects, especially those related to emissions,
noise, dust, spillage and leakage
n educate ourselves and our customers, consignees and suppliers about environmental impact
related factors and the appropriate methods and actions to prevent and limit environmentally
detrimental consequences
