Greetings
for
Fall!
Here’s what’s new: Let’s Talk STEM!
More and more studies are telling educators and parents that science, technology,
engineering, and math (STEM) proficiency for today’s kids gives them a better advantage
in the classroom, as well as in the workplace down the road. North Shore Community
College's youth programs have been offering classes like these for years! LEGO® Robotics,
Veterinary Science and Mad Scientists, Culinary Arts, Video Gaming and so many other
classes offer kids fun ways to learn STEM skills while exploring an area of interest. We
certainly don’t need a study to tell us our children learn things much easier when it is
something they like to do. And you can always count on us to offer a balance of the arts
through cartooning classes, acting, dance, and language.
Please read through our brochure with your child and see what classes they would
like to take, that will give them the edge in whatever areas of interest they enjoy!
See you all this fall.
