Among the 58 students who have received their Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Concordia University
in the past seven years (i.e., September 2003 to October 2010), the mean time to competition was 8.1
years (median = 8.0 years; mode = 6.0 years).
Percentage of students who completed the program in:
• fewer than five years = 0%
• 5 years = 3.4%
• 6 years = 25.9%
• 7 years = 13.8%
• 7+ years = 56.8%

Students in good standing in our program are guaranteed financial support during normal
residence (i.e., for 2 years in the MA program and for 3 years in the Ph.D. program). This funding
package may consist of external and/or internal scholarships, research assistantships from a thesis
supervisor, and/or teaching assistantships.
Effective November 2010, the minimum level of funding offered to incoming students within
normal residence is $16,000 per year. However, the average level of financial support for incoming
students is approximately $20,000.
