2015 New Faces of Engineering – College Edition
Application Guide
This guide is designed to assist you in completing your online application. It
provides program requirements and includes all of the application form
questions.
1. Prepare Your Application Form
• The online form cannot save partially completed applications. We recommend
that you create a text document to save your responses and copy/paste onto
the online form when everything is ready.
• To complete your online application and submit go to:
http://discovere.org/our-programs/awards-and-recognition and select “Apply
Now.”
2. Review the Requirements
• You must be a member of a participating engineering society. See the
complete list at “College Edition” at http://discovere.org/our-programs/awardsand-recognition.
• You must be an undergraduate engineering student (3rd, 4th and 5th year)
as of September 30, 2014. (Graduate and PhD students are NOT eligible).
• You must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Engineering program from
an ABET Accredited (EAC) recognized U.S. college or university or from an
equivalent international educational institution.
• You must have a track record of engineering experiences (i.e. internships,
volunteer or work related).
• Your grade point average must be 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or 4.0 or
higher on a 5.0 scale). Please note a copy of transcript is required for all
winners.
• Your application must include a color photo of yourself (jpg or png format) that
shows you participating in an engineering-related activity (class, event,
internship, or in the field). (Note: Winners will also be asked to provide a
headshot.)
• Applications are due no later than midnight EST on Friday, November 14,
2014.
Please note: You can apply if you previously submitted an application or
were selected as a nominee. (Past winners are not eligible).
