CPGA
LINK is an endowment fund created by top managers, both
men and women from very diverse horizons, who chose to join
forces to ensure victory over aids. LINK identifies those projects
which seem the most pertinent and the most likely to contribute
effectively in the fight against HIV, and organizes fundraising
actions that target the companies and major donors who are
most likely to be able to finance these actions. LINK relies
in particular on the know-how and resources of its members,
who give over part of their time and their means to administrate
the fund and keep it running on a day-to-day basis.
The Professional Art Gallery Committee was created in 1947.
Its mission is to represent French galleries in their dealings with
the authorities. The CPGA provides a consultancy service for
art professionals and constitutes an essential link between
galleries, artists and collectors.
AIDES
AIDES was created in 1984 on the initiative of the sociologist
Daniel Defert. AIDES (a recognized charity since 1990) is one of
Europe’s main associations committed to supporting the fight
against aids. Right from the start, its aim was to bring together
people who had been directly or indirectly affected by HIV,
to help them get organized in order to confront this new scourge
and to initiate and carry out diverse actions, thereby giving its
members their say in the decision-making process on those
major public health issues that concern them directly.
The association tries to mobilize society, which for them means
making as many people as possible aware of the risks
associated with HIV and accompanying people affected by the
virus in their search to establish a shared and collective identity.
PIASA
PIASA, founded in 1996, is located in Paris with representatives
in the provinces and in Brussels. The company has an advisory
and appraisal role, as well as organizing some sixty auction
sales per year in the fields of modern and contemporary art,
Asian art, jewelry, 20th century design, old master paintings and
drawings, books and manuscripts, Medieval and Renaissance
pieces, photographs and even wines and spirits…
