UNIVERSITY
Campus

UM is located on the top of a little hill. It takes 5 to 10 minutes to walk down the
slope to reach the
New Century Hotel (with casino), where there is a bus stop in front of it. You may
find apartments nearby. Around the apartments, you may easily find restaurants
(Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese), Telephone Company, China Bank (where you pay
your bills of water, electricity, rent and telephone), Laundry, Photo Studio,
Supermarket, McDonald etc…
The campus overlooks the Pearl River estuary and commands impressive views of
the Macau Peninsula, China, and the South China Sea.
The main teaching and administrative blocks; Tai Fung Building, Choi Kai Yau
Building and Luso-Chinese Building have been constructed around two garden
courtyards as an aesthetically satisfying and highly practical core to the
institution. This central landscaped courtyard concept is typical of old Chinese
architecture and fits well with the modern Western design of the campus.
At the entrance of the University stands the Administrative Building, housing all
the administrative offices under one roof for convenience for students and
administrative efficiency.
