Investigator II $72,000 Starting Salary The State Bar of California Office of the Chief Trial Counsel Los Angeles The State Bar of California is a public corporation within the judicial branch of government. The State Bar regulates the professional conduct of the state’s lawyers and seeks to enhance the administration of justice for all citizens. The Office of Chief Trial Counsel is responsible for the intake, investigations, trials and prosecution of allegations of attorney misconduct and seeks Investigators. The investigator investigates the complaints filed against CA attorneys. Along with Prosecutors the Investigators ascertains evidence and complaint subject matter. Assists with discovery, application of rules & statutes, interviews subjects to support and establish prosecution proceedings. Must possess at least 4 years of investigations experience in the techniques and procedures of investigations, rules of evidence, court procedures, methods to locate persons, effective interviewing techniques, excellent written/verbal communication, organizational, computer and case management skills.
