PART 4 – FEES
A boat fee will be applied to your licence as follows:
If the licence is endorsed by licence condition to use only one boat at a time, the
fee applicable will be for the highest passenger survey class.
If the licence is endorsed by licence condition to use more than one boat at the
same time, fees will be applicable for each of those endorsed boats.
For the 2015/2016 licensing year, these fees are:



For a boat surveyed to carry up to 6 unberthed passengers, $637.90
For a boat surveyed to carry between 7 and 12 unberthed passengers, $1,276
For a boat surveyed to carry more than 12 unberthed passengers, $2,552
NOTE:
 If you are removing and adding a boat of the same survey class, the fee is $112
 If you are removing a boat and adding a boat of a higher survey class only the
difference in the fee is payable.
PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE INFOMATION
Regulation 7 (5) of the Fisheries Management (Charter Boat Fishery) Regulations 2005
requires all Charter boat licences with a boat endorsed on it to have current public liability
insurance to an amount of at least $10,000,000.
You will be required to provide a certificate of currency whenever your policy is renewed.
