Interior design and decoration go hand in hand and
are interchangeable careers. Each one will provide a
satisfying career turning indoor spaces into vibrant
areas of work, play or rest. Upon graduating you
will be qualified to become a commercial interior
designer or decorator and have the skills to apply
sustainable spatial designs to a clients needs.
At Central, if you study one of our interior design or
decoration courses you will be exposing yourself
to the best chances at employment in this exciting
industry. Our lecturers are industry experts and
have gained many years of experience transforming
indoor environments. You will also use the latest
trends in equipment and software such as CAD
(Computer Aided Drafting) and learn the latest
industry standard techniques and processes.
Studying the Advanced Diploma of Interior Design
will give you the practical skills and knowledge to plan
and execute creative design and spatial solutions
tailored to commercial or residential clients needs.
You will also gain extensive knowledge of material
applications and their costs whilst learning interior
design practices and principles.
In addition you will get practical experience using
software, and learn about presentation methods.
Central’s interior design qualifications will see
you produce interior design solutions for a range
of applications, taking into account aesthetics,
function, materiality, furniture, fixtures, fittings,
and construction of interior projects in a range of
environments. You will also learn the underpinning
theory of interior design and professional practice
techniques to enable you to work in an interior
design firm as soon as you leave Central with your
Advanced Diploma.
When you graduate from Central you’ll impress your
employers with your inspiring and innovative skills
and knowledge in interior design or decoration.
VET FEE-HELP
Students doing Diploma and Advanced Diploma
courses may be eligible for VET FEE-HELP, an
Australian Government loan that helps eligible
students complete their qualification without having
to pay fees upfront.
