When it comes to cocktails, our guys want to know one thing: how to make them. So let’s give
them instructional videos but with fun twists. Set at a modern day party, our bartender will
make a cocktail step by step while having to overcome incredible obstacles - much like the
history of the Bacardi family.

We open on a rocking beach party, off camera we hear people talking, laughing and having a great

time. The mixologist has just finished making Mojitos for a few people.

MIXOLOGIST: Rub a mint leaf around the rim of the collins glass before placing them inside.

MIXOLOGIST: 1 lime, 1/2 oz simple syrup, 4 mint leaves, 1 sprig of mint, 2 oz. BACARDI Superior
Rum, 2 oz. club soda annnnnnd a bunch of loaves of plain white bread to use as distraction.
Add the simple syrup, then gently punish the mint, like so (demonstrates slapping mint). This
releases the aroma of the mint without damaging it. It also lets the seagulls know you’re capable
of violence.

The mixologist knows better than to make any sudden movements - his gaze never breaks from the

MIXOLOGIST: Using slow deliberate movements and no loud noises, a Cuba Libre is an easy
drink to make. First off, don’t be scared to rim the glass with lime, they can smell fear. Next, ease
3 big ice cubes into a collins glass and add 2 ounces of BACARDI.

As well as housing our films on Facebook, we’ll give our guys
the chance to prove that the spirit of Don Facundo is still
alive and well by inviting them to make their own cocktails
against the odds. They’ll be able to choose their cocktail and
the obstacle they want to overcome. They can upload their
film to Facebook and the best (most entertaining) entry will
win a private island party for them and their friends.

ON PREMISE: COCKTAILS VS THE BARMAN
We’ll have bar patrons go head to head with the local barman in a challenge
to make the best cocktails. The bartender gets to choose his specialty drink,
and they both have to make the same cocktail under difficult circumstances.
Not too different from setting up your friends at karaoke... You know it won’t
be a pretty sight.
Obstacles could include:
- Mix up a Strawberry Daiquiri blindfolded
- Keep eye contact with the cutest girl in the room while muddling a Mojito
- Shake up a Daiquiri with one hand behind the back
- Create a perfect Cuba Libre while tweeting “I’m competing in the
BACARDI Beat the Bartender contest…”

We’ll have BACARDI partner with the world’s coolest airline, Virgin
Atlantic, and teach the stewardess and stewards how to make amazing
cocktails from their beverage carts. We’ll then target flights to guys’
favorite party destinations, Las Vegas, New York and Miami, and
instead of serving that boring vodka tonic, the stewardess will surprise
guys with freshly squeezed lime and crushed mint leaves... Yes, a real
BACARDI mojito.
The napkins will tell our guys about how great cocktails can be made
against the odds, even from a small cart 35,000 feet in the air.
