deep, pure lake, so blue in color; sheer
surrounding cliffs, almost two thousand feet
high; two picturesque islands; and a violent

beauty, and an outstanding outdoor laboratory

collapse of Mt. Mazama, an ancient volcano that
erupted approximately 7,700 years ago. The
lake is 6 miles long, 4 miles wide and 1932 feet
deep making it the deepest lake in the United
States. Overnight stay in Klamath Falls.
