This review is composed of questions from Kevin Blanchette’s Review

meant to highlight basic concepts from the College Algebra course. It
does not cover all concepts presented by your instructor. Refer back to
your notes, course objectives, handouts, etc. to further prepare for your
final exam.

A Broadway theater has 500 seats, divided into orchestra, main and
balcony seating. Orchestra seats sell for $80, main seats for $65 and
balcony seats for $40. If all the seats are sold, the gross revenue to the
theater is $30,250. If all the main and balcony seats are sold, but only
half the orchestra seats are sold, the gross revenue is $26,250. How
many are there of each kind of seat?
There are 100 orchestra seats,
250 main seats
And 150 balcony seats
This material covers chapters 1-6. Each of the instructors has additional
material that you are responsible for knowing for your final exam. Since
each of you have just tested on chapter 7, it is not included with this
review. I am more than happy to answer any questions you might have
about chapter 7 material at this time.
