MANUFACTURER’S EMERGENCY CONTACT: Marketing Department Maica Laminates Sdn Bhd Tel: +604-332 7436 / 7437 Fax: +604-332 6570 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Maica Laminates Sdn Bhd declares that maiRadiance (Maica Pearlescent Laminate) conforms with the specifications of the EN 4388: 2009. maiRadiance surface material consists of a pearlescent effect decorative paper which is impregnated with melamine resin. SECTION 2: Inspection requirements SPECIFICATIONS: GENERAL INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS: Viewing distance Approximately 150cm. Light conditions Intensity 800 – 1000 lux over the whole area. Light type Overhead white fluorescent lights, of colour temperature approximately 5000 K. SPECIFICATIONS: INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS OF COLOUR, PATTERN AND SURFACE FINISH: Colour When inspected in daylight or D65 standard illuminant, as specified in ISO 11664 – 2, and also under tungsten filament lighting illuminant as specified in ISO 11664 – 2, a slight difference between the corresponding colour reference sample held by the supplier and the specimen under test is acceptable. Colour and Surface Finish As these are critical, it is recommended that sheets are checked without protective film before fabrication or installation. Laminates can be directional in surface finish and colour and they shall be installed in the correct orientation. 1 MAICA LAMINATES SDN BHD (107254-D) www.maica.com.my Where Imagination Comes To Life Product Specification maiRadiance SECTION 2: Inspection requirements (continued) SPECIFICATIONS: VISUAL INSPECTION Dirt, spots and similar surface defects Max. 1 mm2/m2 and is proportional to the sheet size. Total admissible area of contamination may be concentrated in one spot or dispersed over an unlimited amount of smaller defects. Fibres, hairs and scratches Max. 10 mm/m2 and proportional to the sheet size. Total admissible area of contamination may be concentrated in one spot or dispersed over an unlimited amount of smaller defects. Edge quality, e.g. moisture marks, lack of gloss, corner damage Can be present on all 4 edges of the laminate, provided that the defect-free length and width are at least the nominal size minus 20 mm. Reverse side (for thin laminates) Shall be suitable for adhesive bonding (e.g. sanded). In the case of sanded backs, slight chatter marks are allowed.
