The company:
Rodenburg, founded in 1945 has developed a highly innovative extrusion production processes for the
production of starch products from waste streams like e.g. potato industry. It offers an excellent base
for a wide range of products and applications. The main focus is on the development and production
of a high tech biodegradable biopolymer product range. Rodenburg is also active in the paper and oil
drilling industry. The privately owned company is located in Oosterhout, has an international customer
base. It employs approximately 25 people. In order to strengthen the management team, Rodenburg is
currently looking for a hands on General (financial) Director.
The Position:
The Director leads, plans, organizes and controls the financial and staff responsibilities of the
organization, working towards a further professionalization of the company. The director will be 1 of 2
statutory Directors responsible.
The Role:
 Providing (at all levels) training, insight, leadership, mentoring, coaching and inspiration
(vision) to move the organization towards professionalization.
 Taking responsibility for the financial aspects of the business and providing the management
team with the financial insight in order to achieve business goals and objectives.
 As one of 2 statutory Directors of the in total 4 person management team, taking the formal
responsibility for the management of the company.
 Supporting the Director Operations on aspects like purchasing, inventory management,
alignment of Sales en Operations planning.
 Leading the staff team (3 direct reports) being responsible for Financial Admin, HR,……….
 Acting as the day 2 day communication hub between the different disciplines.
 Monitoring and reporting of the (financial) progress of the business.
The Challenge:
 Overseeing the cooperation between sales and production of the company in relation to the
finance and strategic objectives of the company.
 Together with the management team, creating the vision and strategy for the company.
 Switching between macro and hands on micro management and in due time anchoring the
micro management in the executional part of the organization.
 Growing the people to create a self-transforming and self-learning organization.
The Requirements:
 Academic level.
 Having actively participated in the growth an professionalization of a business
 3-5 years experience in being the financial responsible (P&L and Balance Sheet responsibility)
 Having a good understanding of the process manufacturing based industry
 Able to interact at all levels of the organization
 Comfortable in working in a non-corporate environment (initiator, self-starter)
 Able to work and convince in Dutch and English
 Based in the Netherlands
