Notes:
• 120 semester hours are required for graduation.
• At least 55 of the 120 semester hours required for graduation must be completed at a four-year regionally
accredited college/university. This rule applies to all students without exception.
• A total of 45 semester hours must be completed at Benedictine University to meet the Academic Residency
Requirement unless you are accepted into the Degree Completion Program. See the Benedictine University online
catalog for rules for the Degree Completion Program and the Accelerated Adult Evening and Weekend Programs.
• Thirty of the final 45 hours must be completed at Benedictine University including at least 12 credit hours at the
200-level or above in their major.
• A major field of study requires at least 36 semester hours, of which a minimum of 24 semester hours must be
completed at the 200-level or above, of which at least nine semester hours must be at the 300-level or above.

An “Approval of Transfer Credit Form” should be filled out prior to registration for any course taken off campus. This
form is available online and at the Student Success Center and will need to be signed by your advisor, the department
chair and the Student Success Center staff.
