This seminar will provide the opportunity for students to understand the fundamentals of Microsoft Office 2003 for use in modern organizations. Some computer experience is assumed. Students will be exposed to practical examples of the computer as a useful business tool. They will become acquainted with proper procedures to create documents suitable for course work, professional purposes, and personal use. Course Description Learners use word-processing, spreadsheet, database and electronic communication applications to complete work-related documents and tasks. Thank you for behaving in a professional manner and displaying a Christ-like attitude during all class sessions. 2 Assignments The assignments for this course are designed to enable you to apply computer skills to your current work position and continue your personal and professional development. The practical nature of the Evangel degree completion program is designed for learners to apply text theory to real-world situations. During the next five weeks you will create documents and presentations using Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT, OUTLOOK, and ACCESS. During class sessions, we will practice and perform some of the tasks required for assigned course projects. Quizzes, hands-on exercises, activities, and labs will assist learning the skills necessary for assigned projects. All compositions and numerical data should be presented in a professional manner and formatted according to the printed guidelines for each task. In order to view the file you will need WinZip installed on your system. There is a link on the page for you to download the free version at www.winzip.com Click Open to use a file or picture as indicated in your text OR Click Save to save all the data files for your labs (these can be deleted at a later time) o You can click the down arrow in the Save In: text box to select where you want to save the data files. o You can save them to a disk or to My Documents, etc. (Just be sure that you can locate the files.)
