Complete the “Golden Four,” written communication, oral communication, critical thinking, and mathematics courses with a “C” or higher by the end of Spring term for Fall admission. Complete at least 30 units of General Education courses with a 2.00 GPA. Achieve a CSU transferable GPA of a 2.00 for California residents or a 2.40 for non-residents. Preparation for the Major Courses and Required GPA Applicants will be ranked based on the completion of the major preparation courses. December 1, 2008 to January 22, 2009 – Submit Supplemental Transfer Application. January 1 - March 2, 2009 - File FAFSA (financial aid application) Early February, 2009 - Deadline to apply for SDSU scholarships February - March, 2009 - Admission decisions sent. Check application status at www.sdsu.edu/portal March/April 2009 - Explore SDSU Open House for admitted students May 1, 2009 – Deadline to submit Intent to Enroll form & $250 deposit plus official transcripts with Fall grades. June 30, 2009 – Official transcripts with spring 2008 grades. Supplemental Transfer Application Process & Deadline All transfer applicants must submit an additional online supplemental application. Beginning December 1, 2008, you can go to your SDSU WebPortal account and click on the "Admission Status" menu option to begin the supplemental application process. You will need to follow the instructions to activate your WebPortal account using your RedID number. Your RedID will be e-mailed to you within two weeks of applying to SDSU. To ensure accuracy, obtain a personal copy of your transcripts prior to filling out the supplemental application. Do not submit your supplemental application until your fall grades and courses have been reflected on your transcript and updated on the supplemental application. Supplemental Transfer Application Process & Deadline The supplemental application will ask you to: Verify your self-reported grade point average and the number of units you will complete by the end of spring 2009. Provide information about lower-division GE courses and preparation for the major courses you will have taken by the end of spring 2009, including course titles, number of units, and grades earned. The deadline to submit the supplemental application is January 22, 2009. How to Maintain your Admission>>> Fall admission is based on self-reported information. If you are admitted, your admission is provisional pending verification from your official transcript of the self-reported information on your application and supplemental application. Your admission may be rescinded if your GPA or course grades are lower than what is reported on the application. Please make sure to report accurate information. Application Process and Timeline for Spring Semesters Spring semester is only open for SDSU’s service area. Students must have earned at least 50% of their course work at SDSU’s service area.
