Los Angeles Tourism is the leading resource for visitor
information on Los Angeles. The mission of the Los Angeles
Tourism & Convention Board is to advance the prosperity
of L.A.’s visitor economy and the livelihoods that

TOURISM NUMBERS
• Visitor spending totaled $18 billion
• Los Angeles is the 3rd most visited destination for
international visitors. The top five international markets
include (in order): Mexico, Canada, China, Australia
and the UK.
• While international visitors make up 1⁄3 of total Los Angeles
visitation, they make up 1⁄2 of all visitor spending. The
average domestic trip spend = $517. The average
international trip spend = $1076.
All indications are
that 2014 will be
another record year
– with more than
43 million total visitors.
