Calculator Notes for the fx-9750G Plus
and CFX-9850GC Plus
Note 9A • PARADAY Program
This program reads the EA-100 or EA-200 data analyzer with a motion
sensor. Connect the EA-100 or EA-200 and motion sensor to your calculator.
Jump Option
Place the motion sensor on the floor pointing at a wall or object that is
1 meter away. Have the person who’s going to do the jumping stand halfway
between. The jumper should jump after the sensor begins to tick.
Time and distance data will be graphed, and will be saved to List 1 and List 2,
respectively.
Roll Option
Place the motion sensor on the high end of an inclined table. An empty 2 lb
coffee can works well for this experiment. Starting at the low end of the
table, roll the can gently up the table when the sensor begins to tick.
Time and distance data will be graphed, and will be saved to List 1 and List 2,
respectively.
Get Data
When you are happy with the data you gathered, you can link another
calculator to the EA-100 and choose option 3 to transfer the data into other
calculators. This will save you the difficulty of linking and sending lists
among different models of calculators in the same group.

Errors
If you are not getting any data, check the link cable to be sure it is pushed
in securely on both ends.
Note 9B • Cubes and Cube Roots
To cube a number, enter the number on the Run screen and press ^ 3 EXE .
To find the cube root of a number, press SHIFT [3], enter the number, and
press EXE . As an alternative, you can use the ^ key to find a cube root. To
find the cube root of a number, enter the number on the Run screen and
then press ^ ( 1 ab⁄c 3 ) EXE .
