COMMERCIAL MEDIATION COURSE This course is specifically designed to focus on conflict management in the workplace. It offers a comprehensive blend of conflict management techniques, styles and theories as applied in mediation competency training. Trainers utilise interactive role-play, peer-discussion, constructive individual coaching and feedback to course attendees. On completion of the course and its various components, course attendees will receive a certificate as endorsed by the NWU and DFM (Pty) Ltd respectively. In the event of the course being oversubscribed, candidates will be informed and upon receipt of written instructions to NWU, can either have their full deposits refunded or carried over to the next available course. 4. Cancellations will ONLY be accepted in writing, up to 30 (thirty) business days prior to the commencement of the selected course in order to qualify for a full refund from NWU. Upon receipt of written instructions to NWU, candidates can have any monies already paid, either refunded or carried over to the next available course. Proof of such cancellation will only be by way of a written acknowledgment by NWU. 5. A cancellation fee of 50% (fifty percent) of the FULL course cost will be levied upon any cancellation received by NWU between 30 (thirty) and 15 (fifteen) business days prior to the commencement of the course. Should any monies already received by NWU not be sufficient to cover the 50% (fifty percent) levy, the balance of the amount owed will become immediately claimable, due and payable without any further notice. Upon receipt of written instructions to NWU, candidates can have the balance of monies already paid, after the deduction of the cancellation fee, either refunded or carried over to the next available course. Proof of any such cancellation will only be by way of a written acknowledgment by NWU. 6. Cancellations received less than 15 (fifteen) business days prior to the commencement of the course will result in the full forfeiture of all monies already paid and the FULL balance of the course. Should any monies already received by NWU not be sufficient to cover the any outstanding amounts then balance of the amount owed will become immediately claimable, due and payable without any further notice. 7. In the unlikely event of such a cancellation, candidates will be informed accordingly and upon receipt of written instructions from the attendee, either have their full deposits refunded or carried over to the next available course. 10. NWU reserves the right to change facilitators and/or course content and/or materials at any time at their sole discretion. 11. NWU reserves the right to change the venue or the hours/days over which the course is run at their sole discretion. 12. All material submitted, discussed or publicised by any person at any time remains the copyright material of NWU and all persons who submits or publicizes such material gives their irrevocable permission for NWU to use this material in any way that NWU at their sole discretion deem suitable, this includes but is not limited to use for assessments, assignments, publicity, teaching aids and course quality control purposes. 22. All of NWU’s material and/or any intellectual information discussed, publicised or distributed to any person/(s)v and/or party/(ies) remain NWU’s sole copyright material and no usage or any other sort of agreement is created between NWU or any other person/(s) and/or party/(ies) by NWU’s act of publicising or distributing any such material and NWU’s copyright, standard confidentiality and/or non disclosure agreement/(s) will apply to all and any material. 23. A bound, hard copy learner’s guide will be made available to the courses attendee at commencement of any course at the then current cost of such material as established by NWU, at their sole discretion, this must be paid together with any course fees and/or outstanding monies prior to the commencement of the course. 24. Basic entry requirement: All literate persons with a working understanding of English. The course is conducted in English and the course material is only available in English. A basic understanding of workplace conflict and labour legislation is presumed. All media is supplied in electronic format in English only. 25.
