HRS and eBay start cooperation
HRS hotel offers enlarge eBay’s travel category

eBay have agreed a partnership to extend the travel offer on www.ebay.de. For the
first time ever, in the eBay category “Kurzreisen” (short trips) HRS will be offering
selected hotel offers in advertisement format that can be booked via HRS directly at
up-to-the minute prices.
“With the new service we can significantly expand the offering for our over 14.5
million active members in Germany,” explains Neres Chopurian, Director of
Communications at eBay. “eBay members can now also conveniently look for a
hotel on eBay and directly book via our partner HRS – at the current day’s price.”
The central element of their cooperation is the integration of the HRS offer in
advertisement format in the eBay category “Kurzreisen” (short trips). Interested
users can enter e.g. “3-star hotel in Cologne” into the eBay search and receive a
matching hotel offer for their next city trip or upcoming business trip with one click.
The results page displays the usual hotel information from HRS with pictures, maps
and hotel ratings that exclusively come from guests that have actually stayed at the
hotel themselves.
Once a decision has been made for a particular hotel, the user enters the desired
travel dates and clicks on “Check availability”. The user will then be automatically
sent to the HRS website where the hotel can be quickly and easily booked.
