Register yourself to use the Tools for MIS 313 - 001
You will be registering into 3 accounts to enable you to participate in our Hybrid Class. I
recommend you use the same password for all 3 accounts.
Part A: Register in McGraw Hill Connect Readings, mini quizzes, sample tests and videos will be found on this site
1. Go to http://connect.mheducation.com/class/t-janicki-mis-313-001
a. Click the Register Now unless you already have a McGraw Hill Connect Account
b. Enter your UNCW Email Address (will need to be UNCW Email so I can track
your completions
c. You will now have 3 options on how to ‘pay’ for your enrollment
i. If you purchased a textbook, enter the Registration Code
ii. If you only desire online materials click the buy online option, the fee
should be: $104.00
iii. If you are unsure if you want to purchase the paper book, click the 14 day
courtesy discount option, this will permit you to start the readings and
assignments before you decide which option is best for you.
Part B: Register with Poll Everywhere
Attendance, in class quizzes will be done via your smart phone or laptop.

Complete your name/email (again use your UNCW email)
Register your mobile phone number on following screens
There is no fee for this service, but will permit you to participate in the auditorium mini
quizzes.
Part C: Register into the grading system (Entropy),
You can track your performance on Entropy and determine what you need to keep your A!, in
addition all due dates for assignments, tests in class items will be found on the Entropy
Calendar
1. Follow this link to find the Entropy Grade link: Google – UNCW Entropy
2. Click the link at the bottom that states “NEW USERS – CLICK HERE”, (if you used
Entropy for a previous class at UNCW, enter your 85# & your previously established
password, and skip to Step 5). The new user screen appears below:
3. Enter the following data:
a. University ID is your 85#
b. Desired Email should be the email address you desire to receive class messages
such as xxx@gmail.com, xxx@earthlink.net, xxx@ec.rr.com
c. Click Update Profile when done
4. If all data is correct then you will see a message at the top that states all info is correct,
and CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE
5. In the left menu you will select the “Enroll in a section”, click that link and then select the
appropriate class and section and click ENROLL” (PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SIGN
UP FOR THE CORRECT SECTION) – MIS 313 – Section 001
6. Once registered into Entropy you will see your course listed under Currently Enrolled
Couses
7. Click on the MIS 313 link to see course grading details
8. Click the Project 1 – Entropy Registration to take a sample quiz, you will need your
syllabus to complete the quiz. It is a Pass/Fail Quiz, get 80% correct and you pass, you
may take it as many times as necessary to complete
9. Once you complete your quiz, the Check Progress link will show you, your grade and
future expectations.
