Škoda Auto Vysoká škola is a private tertiary level school with a trade-specific academic programme. The school provides students with sophisticated modern study programmes, a high-profile team of lecturers, an individual approach to students, the direct presence of industrial specialists in the education process, motivation programmes and many others. Undergraduate Academic Programme: Economics and Management Type of Academic Programme: Professional Baccalaureate Specializations: 1. Business Management and Administration; 2. Business Management and Sales; 3. Corporate Finance Management. Duration: 3,5 years (7semesters) Language of tuition: Czech Main Characteristics: - Profession-oriented undergraduate programme which enables its graduate an immediate application of acquired skills and knowledge, particularly in the automotive industry. - One-semester internship is an integral part of the curricula. Students´ placement takes place at Škoda Auto a.s., other cooperating companies in the Czech Republic, and abroad, mainly within the VW group. - Compulsory intensive studies of two foreign languages, English and German, increase the graduates´ value on the labour market. - Graduates are well prepared for follow-on master degree programmes. The school organises language preparatory courses aimed at internationally recognised language exams. - Broadening students´ knowledge and special competences by the multinational dimension penetrates throughout all the studies. Other activities and job opportunities: Škoda Auto University organizes short-term intensive language courses and exchange projects. The scientific research programme closely corresponds to the characteristic of the curricula. View of the institution on internationalisation and mobility in particular Since its foundation, Skoda Auto University has been developing its international relations, actively seeking for new partners, innovates both the academic programmes and cooperates with more than 30 institutions and companies within the EU as well as all over the world. The Centre for International Academmic Mobilities (CIAM) coordinates the activities related to students and staff mobilities, and assures their high quality. We focus mainly on long-term students mobilities (studies and placements) and intensive staff mobilities (teaching and training). Besides them the school participates in different international research projects in close cooperation with foreign universities. Within the LLP/Erasmus programme, the aim of Škoda Auto University is to increase the number of incoming and outgoing students (SMS), to find more partners abroad for long-term placement (SMP), to motivate our academic staff to lecture abroad, and also to welcome a higher number of academics from our partner institutions to participate in our programmes. The school has also developed the double degree curricula, extended the offer of subjects taught in English, and prolonged/opened other projects. International cooperations also includes scientific research, results publication, student participation in international summer schools, programmes for young and prospective business people. International cooperation within the EU programmes togerher with other projects is extremely important to Skoda Auto University. The founder, Škoda Auto a.s., Mladá Boleslav, is one of the most important and dynamic companies in the Czech Republic.
