Browsing the Repository

Using SVN
1. Right-click anywhere and select Repo-browser.
Creating a Repository (Import)
1. Make local directory with files to be versioned.
2. Right-click and
select Import....
2. Enter a directory on http://bartels-file-server.engr.colostate.edu
3. Click Ok and
navigate using the
browser.
You can select the
rollback or head
version using the
button upper right.
Using Web Browser
3. Enter a directory name on http://bartels-file-server.engr.colostate.edu
Notes
• SVN will create any
directories you specify but
don’t exist.
• SVN does not create the
directory from which you’re
copying, only the files.
• Delete temporary files
(*.aux, *.dvi. *.log) before
importing.
4. Enter user name, and password, and click Ok.
4. Enter the URL, http://bartels-file-server.engr.colostate.edu/svn/
5. Click individual files
to download. Note
that they will not be
maintained in the
versioning system.

1. Create a new local directory where the local files are to be stored.

1. Right-click the directory and select SVN Commit....
2. Right-click and

SVN Checkout....
2. Right-click and
select
SVN Checkout....
3. Click ok. The log shows the files that were updated.
3. Browse or type the source and destination directories.
4. Click Ok. The files will be copied to the local directory.
Updating the Local Copy
4. As above, except select SVN Update....
