APPLIED ECONOMICS
To gain a better understanding of the economic environment shaping companies’ development and the skills to balance growing needs
and limited resources. Microeconomics and macroeconomics, economic conditions, industrial organization, international economics and
econometrics are all covered.
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
This specialization is for those looking to launch their own business. It offers customized support to help them get a start in the business
world. You can take the Parcours entrepreneurial Rémi-Marcoux program and earn official recognition, provided you meet certain conditions.
FINANCE
Three proposed tracks: General Finance, Corporate Finance or Market Finance and Investment Counselling. Students learn the analytical
skills and financial techniques they need to work in one of the three main branches of finance: corporate finance, market finance and
credit management (deposit institutions).
HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
For future HRM experts in selection, skills development, compensation management, labour law, and workers’ rights in the areas of
occupational health and safety and collective bargaining. Or, as part of a mixed option, for those interested in managing teams: conflict
management, performance evaluation, etc.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Learn how to solve business problems using information technology (IT) and to manage an organization’s IT function at the operational,
tactical and strategic levels.
INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS
Learn about different facets of management in an international context and acquire the tools you need to work anywhere in the world.
You are required to participate in the Passport to the World international exchange program or the Campus Abroad course or do an
overseas internship and master at least one other language besides French.

This specialization covers data processing, analysis and interpretation using statistical and computer tools. It is designed to reflect
the widespread implementation of information technology and assist companies in decision making.
MARKETING
All aspects of marketing a product or service, from retail sales to sales management, product or brand management, advertising
and promotion, market analysis, marketing research and distribution.
PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTING
The first step toward acquiring valuable expertise and earning CPA (comptable professionnel agréé) certification. Students are supported

Permanent residents of Quebec or another Canadian province should enquire about their status to determine whether they may be exempt from
supplementary tuition fees. See hec.ca/en/programs_training/nrq.html.
1. These fees include tuition fees and, depending on the student’s status, additional fees, general fees and technology fees. They do not include health insurance or dental insurance
offered by the Alliance pour la santé étudiante du Québec (ASEQ). The premium is in addition to the total fees shown. You may opt out of this insurance or modify the suggested
coverage in some cases. If you must take out HEC Montréal health insurance (see note 3), you cannot combine this plan with the ASEQ plan, and will be eligible only for the ASEQ
dental insurance plan.
2. Does not include the cost of purchasing a laptop computer, which is required for the BBA program.
3. Students with diplomatic visas, affiliated with an international organization and Belgian, Danish, Finnish, French, Greek, Luxembourg, Norwegian, Portuguese and Swedish citizens
may be exempt from this insurance if they meet the exemption conditions in their category.
4. Students from some countries, including France, and those whose status meets certain criteria are exempt from the supplementary tuition fees charged to international students.
