Scripture Reading – Rev. Jim Pollard
Mark 10: 13-16
Blessing of the Children. And people were bringing children to him that he might touch
them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this he became indignant and said
to them, “Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God
belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of
God like a child will not enter it.” Then he embraced them and blessed them, placing his
hands on them.
Lead the members in the Christ Child Society Prayer:
Christ Child Society Prayer
Remember in this sacrifice of your own and only Child,
All children everywhere throughout the world,
And grant that, like your Son,
As they increase in years,
They may grow in grace and wisdom before You,
And in the sight of all,
For the improvement and saving of the world.
Jesus, the Friend of little children,
Bless the little children of the world.
Amen
Servant of God

Gospel – Fr. Joe Graff
Matthew 25: 31-40
“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angel with him, he will sit upon his
glorious throne, and all the nations will be assembled before him. And he will separate
them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will place
the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the king will say to those on his
right, ’Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you
from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty
and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill
and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.’ Then the righteous will answer him
and say, “Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink?
When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? When did
we see you ill or in prison, and visit you?’ And the king will say to them in reply,
“Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for
me.’

Matthew 7: 7-11
The Answer to Prayers. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock
and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who
seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Which one of you
would hand his son a stone when he asks for a loaf of bread, or a snake when he asks for
a fish? If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how
much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him.
All are invited to bring forward their envelope containing their Prayer,
Special Intention, or Blessing during the Hymn.

The Lord’s Prayer – Lead by Fr. Joe Graff
All are invited to pray as our Lord taught us:
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who
Trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom,
And the power,
And the glory, forever.
Amen
