ON SITE DECISION DAY FAQS
1. What is On Site Decision Day?
It is a day set up for admissions counselors from various colleges to come to WMHS to
do interviews and review student applications. After this review, many students will get an
“immediate decision”. Some schools do not make a decision on this day but use this as a personal
interview.
2. What kinds of decisions are given to students?
Typically there are four types of decisions:
-accepted into the college
-not admissible to the college
-deferred decision (also can be termed “wait list”) which means the application
needs to be taken back & reviewed by an admissions committee – this is NOT a denial of
admission – it is more of “wait & see” to review additional information (updated SAT/ACT
scores, midyear grades)
-conditionally admitted which means either something else needs to happen before
a decision can be made (audition, portfolio review) or the student is admitted under a special
program
3.
If I get accepted, does this mean I have to go to the college?
NO NO NO.
4. Can I make an appointment to see more than one college
