Presentation of the estate The DOMAINE de la RINIERE is a family estate since four generations. It is situated on three main hillsides made up of sand, limestone, and clay topsoils, with gneiss and slate subsoils. We cultivate the wines and make our wines ourselves. Thus, all the work in our vineyard from the pruning to the bottling – is done by our family at our estate. This fact constitutes a guarantee of the authenticity or our products. VINEYARDS : 21 hectars of vines, of which 85% MUSCADET VINIFICATION : Sélection of cuvées according to the soil (“terroir”), age of the vines, and free-run juice (the first juice from the press). Cold (54°F) débourbage (natural precipitation of the juice) for 24 hours with addition of enzymes. Alcoholic fermentation with temperature control. “Sur Lie” maturation for at least 6 months (the wine stays all winter on its natural fermentation-yeast sediment called lees, or “lies”.
