TEA MARKET REPORT - Sale 27 Held on Tuesday 17th November, 2015
CTC LEAF: 31,407 packages and 55 packages of

dearer rates.
BROKENS: Good Brokens met with a stronger
demand and were dearer often by Tk.3/- to Tk.5/-.
These could be quoted between Tk.192/- and Tk.197/-.
Other varieties were also slightly dearer. However,
there was some withdrawals in the plainest category.
FANNINGS: Good liquoring Fannings were a strong
market and were dearer often by Tk.2/- to Tk/3/-.
Prices for these ranged between Tk.192/- and
Tk.194/-. Medium types were generally firm whilst
plainer varieties were neglected with fair withdrawals.
CTC DUST: 5,619 packages and 30 packages of Old

CDs however, were again an easier market with some
withdrawals. Blenders lent fairly strong support with
fair interest from the Loose tea buyers.
COMMENTS: Blenders operated in greater strength
for bright liquoring types. As a result, prices for these
moved up in Sellers’ favour. Loose Tea buyers lent a
fair support. It was noticeable that plain varieties were
discriminated against and recorded a decline in price
with fair withdrawals.
Once again good liquoring Dusts were a strong feature
of the sale.
