business environment.
DSS is a tool r process whole utility is related to its ability to support decision-making in
the real-world situation and not to provide the solution by itself.

Workgroup Information System and Personal Information System
Answer:
WIS is a system that collects and collaborate people’s work together to achieve a common
goal while PIS are systems used to help an individual to facilitate their work.
ii)
Homogeneous and Heterogeneous Workgroup
Answer:
In homogeneous workgroup everyone in the workgroup fulfills the same role or the task is
performed in a linear fashion while In heterogeneous workgroup there are several role and
jobs covered by individuals within the group.
iii)
Structured and Un-structured Decision
Answer:
Structured decision have a known and well-defined solution that uses fully available data
while Unstructured decision there is no agreement upon procedure and not all the
necessary date may be available.

Strategic and Operational Level of Management

Strategic level management is the driving force of any organization. It is composed of
owners, stockholders and chief executives which basically creates plans and goals for the
overall company to achieve. They usually need soft information and the decisions they
make are unstructured while Operational level management daily operation are the chief
concern. The TP and process control data are the major concern. They usually need hard
information and the decisions they make are structured.

needs summarized information but the lower level needs detailed information.

Give a scenario or application where Executive Support System is used.

ESS enables data and information to be drawn out from any number of systems, including
those external to business for example stock market share information. In ESS they used
models to generalized computing and telecommunication facilities for monitoring and
controlling a business. ESS can also be used in psychological profiling which are used by

Information Technology provides a competitive advantage because the need for IT
applications nowadays increased. Most businesses are having automated systems, systems
that manage information effectively and efficiently. It also transforms business or
redefining industry rules. If the company will adapt then it may affect the possible growth
on the number of customers and stops organization to possible growth. IT changes how
organization performs its activities and operations. So generally it provides a great impact
on how a company become competitive in a global or international market.
