SALES & CATERING
Director of Sales
The Kansas City Marriott Downtown currently has an opening for a Director of Sales to oversee the Sales and Catering Department in
the Midwest’s largest downtown convention hotel. The qualified individual should have 3 to 5 years of experience in the role of
Director of Sales or Director of Group Sales in a predominantly convention/group market environment. This individual is a member of
the hotel’s Leadership Team, will oversee a staff of 12 to 14 sales team members, and must have knowledge of CI/TY, MARSHA, and
other Marriott software programs.
LOSS PREVENTION
Patrol Officer ( Swing Shift & Overnight Shift Available)
Prior experience in law enforcement, criminal justice or the military is necessary. Interested applicants should have excellent written
and verbal communication skills, good report writing skills, experience with conflict/problem resolution, and a professional and friendly
demeanor. Job duties include enforcing hotel rules, investigating and reporting incidents that may result in claims against the hotel,
monitoring security cameras, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of the hotel’s fire and emergency procedures.. Experience in the
hospitality field is a plus!
FRONT OFFICE
Front Office Associate
The ideal candidate should be thoughtful, dynamic and polished. Excellent customer service skills as well as great written and verbal
communication skills are required. AGGRESSIVE HOSPITALITY SKILLS ARE A MUST AND MUST BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN A HIGH LEVEL OF

necessary. Job duties include welcoming guests as they arrive, providing hotel guests with information such as restaurant
recommendations and reservations, transportation options, and local tourist attractions. Must be familiar with downtown Kansas City
and the surrounding areas. Flexible schedule required…must be able to work both Day and Evening Shifts.
M LOUNGE
Concierge Lounge Attendant
The qualified candidate should be professional, dependable and have excellent customer service and communication skills. This job
requires working with our VIP Guests and Marriott Reward Elite Members. Job duties include setting up and attending to a breakfast
buffet, keeping the lounge stocked and clean at all times, being a source of information on the day’s events, and providing information
to our guests regarding hotel amenities and services and Kansas City. Must be able to build and maintain strong relationships with our
VIP guests.

ENGINEERING
Make Ready Team
Dependable and hard working. Daily job responsibilities include working in a number of guest rooms on a daily basis making general
repairs and doing preventative maintenance. The qualified candidate must have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in general
maintenance repairs, basic plumbing, and electrical work. Other job duties include making minor repairs to furniture, wall coverings,
flooring and bathrooms. Job requires working closely with a Housekeeping partner as well.
BANQUETS
Server
Dependable, creative, and have excellent customer service skills. Must have excellent grooming standards and a friendly personality.
Requires excessive walking and being able to lift at least 15 to 20 lbs. Experience in setting up elaborate buffets and serving fine dining
events is necessary. A Liquor Card is required prior to employment. Flexible scheduled required which includes weekends.

Banquet Bartender
Dependable and professional. Looking for an experienced bartender to work catered functions such as wedding receptions, social
events, class reunions, and corporate dinners. Must be at least 21 years old and be able to work shifts that start as early as
3:30pm/4:00pm if needed. A Liquor Card is required prior to employment.
Houseperson / Event Set-Up
Dependable and hardworking. Job responsibilities include meeting and banquet room set up, vacuuming floors, emptying trash, and
properly maintaining hotel equipment. Must be able to lift at least 75 to 100 lbs. and work in a fast paced environment. Good
communication skills are essential to be able to work with customers in a courteous and professional manner. Must be able to work
weekends and late nights when necessary.
FULL TIME / DAY SHIFT
Aisle Attendant
Dependable, hardworking and good communication skills. Job responsibilities include transporting food from Kitchen to service areas
for banquet service. Must be able to lift at least 75 to 100 lbs. and work in a fast paced environment. This job requires working closely
with Banquet Kitchen, Banquet and Stewarding Staff, and being able to multi-task and read/understand Event Orders. Flexible schedule
required which includes evenings and weekends.
HOUSEKEEPING/LAUNDRY
Room Attendant
We are looking for experienced and dependable Room Attendants. The qualified candidates must have at least 1 year experience in the
past three years working in Housekeeping at a hotel. Job duties include being able to clean at least 18 guest rooms per day…vacuuming,
dusting, making and changing the bed linens, cleaning the bathrooms, restocking all amenities and reporting maintenance problems.
Responsibilities include being able to lift 50 lbs. & pushing heavy carts.
Parlor Attendant
Friendly, professional and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate for this position will have an eye for detail, be able to
work at a fast pace, and present a polished appearance to our guests. Job responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of all
public space, lobby areas, guest restrooms, fitness center, and M Lounge…which includes vaccuming floors, dusting furniture, and
pulling trash.
DAY SHIFT AVAILABLE (7:00AM – 3:30PM)
Houseperson
Dependable and hard-working individual to assist in cleaning all assigned areas of the hotel. Job duties include vacuuming floors,
shampooing carpets, moving and arranging furniture, washing windows, emptying trash, transporting linen carts, stocking supplies and
general cleaning, such as dusting and polishing brass. Will be trained in safe use of equipment and cleaning chemicals. Must be able to
work a flexible schedule which includes working weekends.
Night Cleaner
Hard-working, dependable, and must have good communication skills. Responsibilities include cleaning of all areas of the hotel
including lobbies, foyers, public restrooms, service areas, locker rooms, and elevators. Must have experience in stripping, waxing and
buffing floors, and shampooing carpets. Flexible schedule required which includes working weekends.

KITCHEN
Line Cook
Professional, dependable, and must be a team player! Qualified candidates should have 2 to 3 years of experience working in the
Kitchen of a full service restaurant or hotel. Experience should include working in all areas of the Kitchen i.e. Grill, Broiler, Saucier, and
Cold Production. Other job duties include understanding and following written recipes, basic knife skills, proper and safe handling of
kitchen equipment, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in specific work areas. Flexible schedule required.
EVENING SHIFT AVAILABLE
Banquet Cook
Dependable, hard-working, and must be able to multi-task. Looking for an experienced production cook for a busy Banquet Kitchen.
Must have at least 3 to 4 years experience working in a large volume production kitchen. Job duties include preparing and production
of hot banquet food and sauces for large groups, maintaining a safe and sanitary work station, assist in plating up of meals, and work
closely with both our Banquet and Stewarding Departments.
Pastry Cook
We are looking for an experienced Baker or Pastry Cook with previous experience to work in the busy Pastry Kitchen. Must be familiar
in the production of all pastries, cakes, desserts, breakfast items, and breads. The qualified individual must be able to bake from
recipes, have a complete understanding of culinary weights and measurements, can demonstrate safe handling of kitchen equipment,
and be able to maintain a safe and sanitary work station at all times.
BAR CENTRAL
Bar Manger
We are looking for an experienced Manager to oversee and manage the hotel’s very busy Great Rooms (Bar Central and Bar
Muehlebach) and Specialty Coffee Area. Previous experience must include overseeing multiple outlets and an extensive knowledge of
managing a full service bar (previous bartending and serving experience would be helpful). The ideal candidate should have excellent
organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have exceptional problem/conflict resolution skills. Job duties include interviewing, hiring,
training, scheduling, performance management, and promoting a friendly team environment. Flexible schedule required…would be
mostly working evenings. A Liquor Card, Serv Safe Certification, and TIPS Certification are required for this position as well.
Bar Server
Friendly, professional, and excellent customer service skills. Must have prior experience working in a full service restaurant with
knowledge of serving both food and cocktails. Requires aggressive hospitality skills, building a rapport with our guests, and upselling
menu items. Prior cash handling and MICROS experience is preferred. A Liquor Card is also required prior to employment for this

Barback/Expeditor
We are looking for a hard-working and dependable individual to work in Bar Central expediting food, bussing tables, stocking glassware,
washing dishes, and assisting bartenders and servers as needed to make sure that we are taking care of our guests efficiently. Must be
friendly, dependable, organized, and be able to work at a fast pace and multi-task. A Liquor Card is also required.
FULL TIME EVENING SHIFT (4:00PM – CLOSE)
METROPOLITAN KC

Professional, dependable and excellent customer service skills. Must have previous serving experience in full service restaurant and be
able to handle a station of 6 to 8 tables. Knowledge of MICROS is preferred as well as cash handling experience. A Liquor Card is also
