MGAA Games Scrimmages

Need something to keep your games skills active during the winter months??? Come and
participate in the MGAA Games Scrimmages held at TaylorMade Stables during December
through April. Mixed scramble teams/pairs or even individuals will be formed from the MGAA
riders who attend. No points, no awards, just great games fun!
The games scrimmages will be held at either at TaylorMade Stables’ indoor arena or at the large
outdoor arena located outside of Damascus, MD. We are indebted to Robert and his family for
offering to host this location for MGAA scrimmages.
Due to insurance concerns, only MGAA members will be allowed to participate in the scrimmages.
However, other riders curious about mounted games are welcome to come, watch and help out.
Cost: $10 per MGAA members. Please make checks out to MGAA.

Directions
From 270: Take exit for Rt 27 towards Damascus. Once in Damascus, follow rt 108 to the right.
Follow Rt 108 for 1.4 miles. Turn left onto Mullinix Mill Road. Turn left at the main gate for
TaylorMade Stables. Park up near the indoor arena at the top of the hill.
From 70: Take exit for Rt 27 (Mt Airy) towards Damascus, At Rt 108 intersection, turn left onto rt
108. Follow Rt 108 for 1.4 miles. Turn left onto Mullinix Mill Road. Turn left at the main gate for
TaylorMade Stables. Park up near the indoor arena at the top of the hill.

Rain/Snow Plans: There is an indoor arena available for our use. If weather is uncooperative, we
will cancel by phone or email if time allows.
Water: Water is available on the grounds.
Scrimmage Dates:

Riders will be required to fill out one Scrimmage Entry form, sign an MGAA Release,
and bring a copy of your current pony’s coggins for our files. You can either bring
these items to the first scrimmage you attend or also mail these items to Sharon
Brown. However, they must be on file with MGAA before you ride.
To sign up for a scrimmage, just email Sharon Brown during the week before the
scrimmage date. Please also be considerate and email us if something comes up
and you are unable to attend.

Clinic/Scrimmage Entry – Release

Please return this form with your entry.
The undersigned acknowledges the inherent risk involved in riding and working around horses, which risks
include bodily injury from using, riding or being in close proximity to horses among other risks, and further
that both horse and rider can be injured in normal use or in competition and schooling.
In Consideration for the privilege of riding and working around horses at the MGAA Games Scrimmage
the undersigned does hereby agree to hold harmless and indemnify Taylor Made Stables, the Robert
Taylor family, the Mounted Games Across America, Inc., it’s officers, sponsors and embers and further
release them from any liability or responsibility for accident, damage, injury or illness to Undersigned or any
horse owned by me or to any family member or spectator accompanying the Undersigned on the premises
of the Robert Taylor family.
I fully understand that riding and the playing of mounted games are very dangerous activities. I fully
understand that riding is a very dangerous activity with many inherent risks including (i) The propensity of
an equine to behave in dangerous ways which may result in injury to the rider, trainer, groom or handler, (ii)
The inability to predict an equine's reaction to sound, movements, objects, persons or animals. I wish to
participate in these activities knowing they are dangerous. I accept and assume all the risks of injury
(including death) to my property or me.
In exchange for being permitted to participate in these activities for myself, my heirs, guardian, and
legal representatives, I release and agree not to make or bring any claim of any kind against
TaylorMade Stables, the Robert Taylor family, the Mounted Games Across America, Inc., or its
masters, officers, directors, members, employees, or guests or any landowners, landholders or the
persons making property available for the MGAA Games Clinic, for injury (including death), to me or
any damage to my property whether from anyone's negligence or not, or any other cause, arising
out of my participation in these dangerous horseback riding or related activities; and I also agree if
anyone makes any claims because of any injury to me (including death), or for any damage to my
property, I will keep all those released by this agreement free of any damages or costs because of
those claims. My signature hereby indicates my agreement.
