WEEKLY COMMUNICATIONS UPDATE
Overview

The reconstruction of the 11.5 kilometres of road between Krupanj and Koretnita is successfully
completed. After the floods and landslides significantly damaged the road in May 2014, European
Union funded the reconstruction with 4.5 million Euros. This project supported the normalisation of
the transport of the goods and 1,500 people daily. The additional 500 metres of the road will be
paved by the week of 20 July 2015.

So far, 151 houses in Obrenovac, Krupanj, Svilajnac, Varvarin, Paraćin, Gornji Milanovac, Bajina Bašta,
Šid, Ruma, Loznica, Malo Crniće, Valjevo, Osečina, Smederevo, Smederevska Palanka, Požega,
Loznica, Lajkovac, Ruma and Mionica have been constructed, while 868 flood affected homes have
been rehabilitated in Obrenovac, Krupanj, Kraljevo, Lazarevac, Svilajnac, Trstenik, Varvarin, Valjevo,
Mali Zvornik, Ljubovija, Šabac, Bajina Bašta, Šid, Loznica, Smederevska Palanka, Velika Plana, Čačak,
Ub, Koceljeva, Jagodina and Paraćin. This is the part of private housing reconstruction process of
more than 950 units in 30 municipalities funded through the European Union Assistance for Flood
Relief in Serbia Programme.

Prefabricated houses:
Total budget available: 300.000,00 EUR
Initially planned 15, total built 20 houses due to the savings in procurement (11 Svilajnac, 1 Varvarin, 1 Ljig, 3
Smederevo, 1 Kursumlija, 3 Lazarevac).
Construction works finished on 20 prefabricated houses (11 Svilajnac, 1 Varvarin, 1 Ljig, 1 Kursumlija, 3
Lazarevac and 3 in Svilajnac).
Household appliances and furniture:

Furniture: cca 170.000,00 EUR

Household appliances and furniture delivered to 184 households. Delivery of sets for 8 households
(additionally included prefab houses in Lazarevac, Ljig, Kursumlija and Smederevo) ongoing. There is also
ongoing purchase for new beneficiaries in Lazarevac and Svilajnac.

and small enterprises in Obrenovac
affected by the floods started on 16
June 2015. Small shops, carwash
services, hairdresser salons and other
types of businesses will receive
equipment, raw materials
