Greetings from PAARL!
As part of our renewed Membership Campaign, PAARL is inviting you and your
institution to join the Association as an individual or institutional member.
Institutional members are those institutions which maintain academic or research
libraries and are interested in supporting the objectives of the Association. The
representative of an institutional member, usually its head librarian, shall be
designated upon payment of the membership fee amounting to only P 500, and
shall have the rights and privileges of a regular member. Institutional members
may also join PAARLNET, a network of libraries who will participate in an
Interlibrary Lending Program, a cooperative resource-sharing arrangement that is
expected to serve our common interests and needs.
PAARL is also campaigning to increase the number of our individual members.
We offer a rebate of P 150 for any regular or associate member who is able to
submit the membership dues (P 1500) of at least 10 other members. In effect, for
every collection of P 1,650 remitted to the organization, the recruiting member
gets a refund of P 150.00.
Because we believe that the key to success in any organization’s membership lies
in connecting with them thru effective communication and good personal
interrelationships, we have assigned Sis. Ignatius Tal Placido, SPC, of St. PaulManila as chairperson of the Membership Committee, to be assisted by her cochair, Ms. Ana B. Fresnido, DLSU Technical Services head librarian.
We are enclosing a reply form, which may be reproduced, for your convenience.
Please send it back to us either by mail or fax. Payments may be made in check or
PMO payable to “PAARL” , or if deposited to our BPI Family Bank Account No.
5951-0782-06 (do not forget to indicate Mabini Branch), please fax or send to us
by mail copy of your bank’s deposit/acknowledgement slip.
