Time : Three Hours Maximum Marks: 100

Note:

1.

The paper is divided into three sections: Section A, Section B and Section C.

2.

There are seven questions in Section A of 10 marks each. Attempt any four.

3.

Section B has 5 questions of 15 marks each. Attempt any three.

All the questions of Section C (Case Study) are compulsory. This section is of 15 marks.

9b. A table ‘Employee’ exists with fields ‘name’, ‘age‘, ‘sal’, ‘dept’. Find the names of

employees whose salary is greater than the salary of employee named ‘Rajiv’.

Section – C Case Study (Compulsory) (15 marks)

CASE STUDY

An Insurance company ABC Life wishes to computerize its policy administration function.

The company has many branches all over India, and it mainly deals with life insurance. Each branch has branch name, address, phone fax etc.

In each branch there are different types of staff working. For example, there is a Branch manager, field officers, secretary etc. it is necessary to keep track of staff in terms of their name, age, address position, salary etc.

Apart from regular employees, there are part-time staff called insurance agents who work on commission basis.

The insurance company also stores details of all policy holders : policy holder’s name, policy number, address, tenure, maturity amount, maturity date, premium amount, nominee details etc.

Make any assumptions you want to make.
