Nuance Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search Apps Now Available in
Slovakia
Successful Dragon Apps Now Support Slovak Language; Slovak Consumers Can
Simply Speak to Send Text Messages and Emails, Update Twitter and Facebook,
Search for Web Content and More
Burlington, Mass. and Bratislava, Slovakia – June 29, 2012 – Nuance Communications, Inc.
(NASDAQ: NUAN) today announced the continued Eastern European expansion of the Dragon
Dictation and Dragon Search apps with their free availability for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad
in the Slovakia App Store. Supporting the Slovak language, Dragon Dictation and Dragon
Search let iOS consumers quickly and easily dictate SMS text messages, emails, social media
updates, mobile Web searches and more, up to five times faster than typing.
“Following the successful launches of the Dragon Apps in the Czech Republic and Romania,
we’re very excited to bring the power of Dragon to Slovakia,” said Michael Thompson,
executive vice president and general manager, Nuance Mobile. “Dragon Dictation and Dragon
Search continue to showcase the global demand for mobile voice experiences.”
Dragon Dictation is iOS-5 compatible and features a pop-up toolbar with app icons that enable
users to easily access email, SMS, Facebook, Twitter status bars, or the clipboard. Dragon
Dictation also includes a convenient Auto Save function that retains dictated text when the user
is interrupted by an incoming phone call.
Dragon Search allows users to simply speak any search query to quickly and easily find
information and knowledge on the mobile Web. Dragon Search features Nuance’s unique and
innovative Dragon Search Carousel, which delivers faster, smarter search results within seconds
across multiple channels all at once including Google, Yahoo!, Twitter, iTunes, Wikipedia and
YouTube.
Both Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search are available for free from the Apple App Store in
Slovakia.
Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search are also available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil,
Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong
Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland,
Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey, UAE, UK and
U.S. App Stores. In addition to Slovak, the Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search support U.S,
UK and Australian English, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Taiwan Mandarin, Cantonese, Czech,
Korean, Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malaysia, Hungarian, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, European and
Canadian French, German, Greek, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, European and Brazilian
