How do I set up an alert for the entire topic?
You must be logged in to set up an alert. On the topic overview page, just below the topic summary,
you will see “Recent Discussions”. Click on the “view all” link at the bottom of this box.
On the right side of the discussion overview page, click the “Set Alerts / Participate by Email”
button.
To disable an alert, click on “Manage My Alerts” and select “none” as the frequency. Then click
ok. The “Manage Alerts/Email” button will appear at the top of every discussion page within the
topic.
To manage multiple topic alerts, click on “My Alerts” at the top right side of the page.

How can I change my online name?
Change your online name be doing the following:
a. Login to the site.
b. Click on the MyISACA tab near the top of the page.
c. Click on MyProfile
d. Click edit MyProfile from right menu
e. Scroll down to My Online Name and enter your new name
f. Scroll to bottom of page and click save change when done.
How do I add my name (or remove it) from people search?

Scroll down to People Search Opt in and check the box.
Scroll to bottom of page and click save change when done.

What does “field” mean and where can I edit it?
The web team is working to replace the “field” field so that it instead displays job title. To edit
job title:
a. Login to the site.
b. Click on the MyISACA tab near the top of the page.
c. Click on MyProfile
d. Select the “Account – Certification CPE – Demographic Info” tab
e. Scroll to the bottom and click “Edit”
f. Within the My Contact Information tab, you will find job title.
g. Once you have updated the field, scroll to the bottom and click save my changes.
What do points signify?
Points represent a users level of participation within the knowledge center. Creating a blog,
posting a comment, updating your profile, rating a comment are all ways to increase your
participation points.
How can I get my ISACA blog to show up in my topic?
Every member has the ability to create a blog on the web site. You can tag your blog so that it
appears in a knowledge center topic’s home page under “Blogs”.
Create your Blog page
a. Login to the site.
b. Click on the MyISACA tab near the top of the page.
c. Click on MyProfile
d. Click on create my blog from the right menu.
e. Give your blog a title – please note at this point you are not creating a blog entry, but
instead are creating your blog page. This title that will be connected with your
profile and display above any postings you make subsequently.
Add a blog Entry
a. a. Login to the site.
b. Click on the MyISACA tab near the top of the page.
c. Click on MyProfile
d. Click on “Go to my Blog” from the right menu
e. Click on “create a post”
This is your
blog title.
Create a new post or
manage existing posts
here.
f. As your creating your post, you will see several tagging options towards the bottom
of page. You can choose to add blog tags that will appear on the blog overview
page. Selected community tags will allow your blog to display within the topics you
select.
Add your own
tags here. These
tags display in a
tag cloud on the
blog overview
page.
Check the boxes next
to the topic and area of
interest that best
represents the subject
of your blog. You can
check more than one
box in each section
If your blog is not in English,
select the language and the blog
will appear on that language page.
g. You can add tags to an existing entry by clicking “Manage Posts” and selecting the
blog entry you wish to edit. Click the edit button in the upper right corner.
Click edit to update tagging
on an existing post.
