PowerLine Communication Adaptor
Model: TM-BPL200
200Mbps Powerline Communication Adaptor (Wall
Pluggable)
1.0
OVERVIEW
The 200Mbps Powerline Communication (PLC) adapter can provide the transmission
of triple play broadband service over the in-house power line from single phase to 3
phase wiring. It shall deliver services to every power socket in-house provided data
source is being introduced to one of the Powerline unit.
It will provide home
networking seamlessly after pairing of Powerline units are performed once.
It is
suitable for use in a wide range of both residential (in-house) and commercial (offices,
apartments, hotels, warehouses) network applications in which existing power lines
can be utilized. It shall eliminate the need to install Ethernet cable or wireless which is
prone to interference. The powerline adapters work in pair or more than 2 units to
enable the effortless creation of a high-speed network that supports triple play
services such as video, voice, and data.

MAIN FEATURES
2.1
Protocol/Standards
 3-Pins wall mounted type with input power voltage range from 100 to 240 VAC at
50/60Hz
 HomePlug AV compliant, Co-existence with HomePlug 1.0 Nodes
 Support QAM 1024 / 256 / 64 / 16 / 8, QPSK, BPSK, and ROBO modulation schemes
 Up to 200 Mbps data rate (connection speed, actual throughput could be lower) on the
power line; however, Ethernet is limited to 100Mbps
 128-bit AES Link Encryption with key management for secure power line
communications
 Windowed OFDM with noise mitigation based on patented line synchronization
techniques improves data integrity in noisy conditions
 Dynamic channel adaptation and channel estimation maximizes throughput in harsh
channel conditions
 TDMA and priority-based CSMA/CA channel access schemes maximize efficiency and
throughput
 Integrated Quality of Service (QoS) Enhancements: contention-free access, four-level
priority based contention access, and multi segment bursting
 ToS and CoS Packet Classifiers
 Supports IGMP managed multicast sessions

OS Independent with TCP/IP protocol supported

Auto power saving mode with standby mode if powerline adaptor is not in use

Networking Application

High Definition (HD) and Standard Definition (SD) video distribution via powerline

High data rate broadband sharing up to 100Mbps via powerline utilizing Ethernet LAN

Shared broadband internet access via powerline

Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) via powerline
Diagram
Diagram below illustrates the powerline adaptor being plugged in at the strategic wall
plug socket to provide intended service throughput the house. The incoming internet
service which is from ADSL or FTTH is being feed into one of the powerline adaptors
after the modem. The triple play service will be distributed locally and pick up by the
other powerline adaptor and data will be sent out via Ethernet cable to intended device
such as Set Top Box, WiFi Extender (PLC based), IP Camera (IP based), and PC (via
another PLC unit). No new wires are necessary to implement the home networking via
existing powerline.
