I want you to lean your head back and close your eyes. We are going to do an exercise that will help you
lower your blood pressure and stress level.
Let's start by taking a deep breath in through your nose, holding to the count of three, exhale through your
mouth. Have them repeat two more times. For the next couple of minutes, I'll need you to use your
imagination. Take another deep breath in...now exhale...I want you to picture a beautiful white sandy
beach...with palm trees leaning over the water, very gently blowing in the wind...picture the water, it's
crystal clear and the most incredible shade of blue that you've ever seen...now picture yourself on that
beach, your sitting right at the waters edge...the waves are very gently washing up over your toes..and
you are all alone...take a deep breath in ...now exhale...while your sitting on the beach I want you to begin
to relax further by releasing the tension in the back of your neck and in your shoulders...now relax the
muscles down through your arms and all the way to your finger tips...allow your arms to fall to your
side...take a deep breath in ...and exhale...now relax the muscles down through your chest and
stomach...down through your hips...legs...and finally all the way to the tips of your toes...for a little while
longer I want you to daydream about the things that bring joy & peaceto your life. It may be a relationship,
an activity, or being on this beach all alone...(Be silent for a moment)...Ladies the sun is setting on your
beach now and you can see the beautiful colors of pink, orange and red reflecting off the water...as you
gaze across the water I want you to take another deep breath in through your nose and out through your
mouth. As you exhale, you can remove your eye pads and begin to come back to reality
