More jobs are continuing to arrive on a regular basis – watch for additional online jobs posted through AACE* in the new student services building (SA 2300),
second floor, for FWS students ONLY. Eligible FWS students can ONLY work at the off campus sites listed here – no other OFF campus placements have been
authorized at this time. FWS STUDENTS MUST PRINT THE eHAF that appears in your Horizon email account before you can go to work.
IF you are selected for this program by the Financial Aid systems, you will receive your Hiring Form (or eHAF) in your Horizon email account just before the
quarter begins. If you are not selected, there is no appeal process, but you may go to the Enrollment Information Center and request to be placed on the FWS
Wait List. This List will be reviewed after December 15th, and IF additional students can be added to the Program at that time – you would see an award for
the second half of the year in your MyCSUEB account under View Financial Aid. New students must SIGN-IN at the Payroll Office in SA 2600 before working.

California State University, East Bay
2010-2011 APPROVED FEDERAL WORK STUDY JOBS
If you have any questions or concerns, please go to the Enrollment Information Center, on the 1st Floor of the new student services building, Hayward campus.
*MANY offices were moved over the summer to various buildings, or the new student services building (SA) on the east side of the Hayward campus. Monitor
your Horizon email and watch for signs posted with updated changes and information. You may even see the new building coded as: SSB or SAAB.
Please do not take it personally if an employer feels that you are not a good ‘job match’ for the job tasks that they might have available at this time. Many
processes are changing at the University and the procedures and routines and work may be being performed differently than in the past. An employer may
be waiting to find a student employee with a different skill set than you might have at this time. If you do not hear from an employer that you were hoping to
work for, try another office or department. There are over 135 offices and departments on campus, and many could use some assistance in their operations.
The ‘Community Service’ FWS jobs are specially designated job slots that this Program offers. We will periodically review appointed student files for a
possible award increase when funding levels allow.
Students with an FWS award or allocation showing on their MyCSUEB screen for FALL Quarter, should look in their Horizon email account for their eHAF on or
after October 1, 2010. That is the first day that FALL students can go to work. Students with an allocation of $800 for a term, should not be earning more
than approximately $266 per pay period. Please see the Federal Work Study web page for further information, guidelines, flowcharts and details about this
Program. Go to: Prospective/Current Students / Cost & Financial Aid / Financial Aid / Work Study / click on the link at the bottom of the page.
