October 18, 2012 Mrs. Geraldine De Erit Head of Student Services Thru: Dr. Alex Ylagan Dean of Student Affairs Dear Madam: With sincere and zealous hearts for our mission for the youth and God’s call of evangelization, we continue to strive with greater passion to serve the Lord and our fellow students through our ministry in Christ’s Youth in Action. However, there have been unclarified concerns that Ms. Anna Puyo, the Secretary of the President had brought up to us yesterday regarding our activities. With respect to her and in light of transparency and truth, we would like to request for an appointment with you as Head of Student Services, with Dr. Alex Ylagan, DSA, with Mr. Jiexel Manongsong and Ms. Jeninah Christia Borbon, our CYA Advisers, together with my fellow Service Council (leaders of CYA) to arrange a meeting with Ms. Puyo tomorrow, October 19, 2012 at 3pm, so we can address the concerns and deal with the matters in justice and in good communication. We are willing to present ourselves, with our advisers, to discuss the raised concerns and solve all the issues linked to our organization, with the hope of better service for God and the Lycean studentry. Hoping for your immediate action and consent regarding this matter, we continue to pray and work hard with you to better serve and uphold the morality of the Lycean youth. October 19, 2012 Mr. Peter P. Laurel The President This University Dear Sir: With prayers and godly hardwork, we, in Christ’s Youth in Action, are continuing our efforts in God’s mission for the youth. We have been polishing our preparations for the CYA SISTERS’ HOUSEHOLD on October 23-28, 2012. However, due to discussed and considered security concerns, environmental and strategic location and their character needs, we decided to prioritize a characterformation-focused household and their safety. We opted to find a more suitable venue wherein Womanly Character plenary will be well-delivered to the participants, as stated in our Household purposes. In line with this, we would like to inform you for a change of venue for our said activity. Instead of the SHL Restoration Village, San Jose Sico, Batangas City, we were recommended by our CYA Manila leaders to use an affordable, safe and learningconducive location at Bahay SCAn Formation Center, Unit A1 Lot 1 Block 9, Foggy Heights, San Jose, Tagaytay City, a private two-storey dormitory type house wherein sessions can be well given to them in a meditative and soul-searching atmosphere. We will sustain all our activity purposes, program content, outreach activities and same registration fee, as aligned to our new venue. We will also be formally informing the parents and the students about this change. Hoping for your more ardent support regarding this revision, we continue to pray and work hard with you to better serve and mold our students to be God-centered youth. Thank you very much and God bless your good office always! Sincerely yours in Christ, Dr. Nina Fatimah Borbon Household Head, CYA Staffer Noted by: Ms. Jeninah Christia Borbon CYA Batangas Adviser, Staffer Christ’s Youth in Action Kay Kristo Buong Buhay Habambuhay! October 18, 2012 Mrs. Ailyn Abando II-Counsel Adviser St. Bridget College Highschool Department Dear Madam: With thanksgiving and praise, we, in Christ’s Youth in Action, are so blessed have your student Mary Lourdes Borbon (II-Counsel, St. Bridget College HS Dept), as one of our active members, joining us in God’s mission for the youth. We have been witness to her continuous spiritual growth and character formation through her spiritual journey and service through CYA. Hence, we gladly invite her to participate in our CYA SISTERS’ HOUSEHOLD on October 23-28, 2012 at Bahay SCAn Formation Center, Unit A1 Lot 1 Block 9, Foggy Heights, San Jose, Tagaytay City. In recognition of her desire to grow more in her spiritual walk in the Lord and her zealous service to His youth, we believe that this activity will greatly help her to be transformed and be quipped for leadership, character and confidence. In line with this, we would like to excuse Ms. Borbon from her classes from October 23 to October 25, 2012 so she could participate in the life-changing activities of the Households. We also hope that you would let her make up for the activities and requirements she will be missing during her absence. Hoping for your ardent support for our mission, we continue to pray and work hard with you to better serve and mold our students to be God-centered youth. Thank you very much and God bless you always! Sincerely yours in Christ, Dr. Nina Fatimah Borbon Household Head, CYA Staffer Signature of Parent: Mrs. Jovie D. NARRATIVE REPORT September 9, 2012 DARE TO SERVE TRAINING LPU MAIN Spiritual Activity “He who is best prepared can best serve his moment of inspiration.” Last September 29, 2012, the Christ Youth in Action- Batangas conducted training for the servers of the coming Dare to Serve. Its goal is to prepare the servers physically and spiritually for the Dare to Serve The training started by an opening worship then followed by the briefing about Dare to Serve given to us by Brother Peter Legazpi, a staffer from Manila. After the briefing, staffers from Batangas gave the servers the instruction for the training proper, upon clearing the instructions the servers went out for their lunch. After lunch, the training proper started, the servers was divided into groups according to the committee they are assigned. Each member of the group gave their ideas to make the task easier. Each group is given the time to plan on what steps we will do in preparation for the Dare to Serve. Proper delegations were made in each committee. Every group produced their step by step checklist for them to be guided in what they need to do before the event. Each group presented their plans in front of staffers, service council, and co-servers, so everyone will be informed in what each committee is planning to do. After the presentation, the training was concluded by summarizing the thoughts we leaned on the training and a closing prayer. The training for the servers will be a great help in the success of the coming Date to Serve. This training also bonded the servers to be one in serving for the greater glory of God.
