Plan for holding the Public Event
HEALTHY LIFE STYLE IS TRENDY!
under the slogan DON’T BE AFRAID TO LIVE – ENJOY LIFE SAFELY!
Date: July 19th 2003.
Site of the event: Yevropeyska square
The event will start at: 6 p.m.
The time for holding the gala concert: from 7.30 p.m. till 10 p.m.
Plan:
1. From 6 p.m. the volunteers will be distributing prevention-oriented booklets on
Yevropeyska square and Maydan Nezalezhnosti.
2. From 6. p.m. young Ukrainian singers will be performing on the stage. Between the
performances prevention-related video clips will be played on the stage screen.
3. At 7.30 p.m. the gala concert will start. During the concert HIV/AIDS prevention-related
statements will be pronounced form the stage. The concert will feature: Mariya Burmaka,
Iryna Bilyk, bands Skryabin, Tartak and Tanok na Maydani Congo.
4. At the beginning of the concert and in the intervals between the songs, Ukrainian pop
stars and VIP guests will address the audience with short messages encouraging healthy
lifestyle among Ukrainian youth.
5. At 9.50 p.m. the MC of the event will announce the concert over. Fireworks will start
thereafter which will continue till 10 p.m.
The International HIV/AIDS Alliance is a collaborating agency of USAID
within the EC-US HIV/AIDS Prevention and Awareness Programme for
Ukraine. The EC component is being implemented by the British Council.
