(Picnic Site #1 - Near the Edmonton Valley Zoo)
Start time is 10:00 am
(Please arrive at 9:00 to have time to find our group and get your gorilla suit.)
Help save the Endangered Mountain Gorillas by joining the
Active Life Centre’s Team…
“ACTIVE” GORILLAS!
We thought that it would be great fun to include our cherished clients and friends at
this event, so we ask you to get involved and join our team. You can dress up your
gorilla in “Active” sports attire and join our entire staff and our families as we team
up to walk together to save these great animals!
*Everyone who participates will be wearing a full gorilla costume - from fluffy head to furry
toe - to help raise funds for the Mountain Gorilla Conservation Fund, the international charity
working to save the world's last remaining mountain gorillas.
* There are also prizes for most creative gorilla/ gorilla team, highest fundraising gorilla, first
male/female to finish, senior gorilla, furthest traveler gorilla and largest team
(and we are striving to be the largest team!)
*This event is aiming for the Guinness World Record for the "Most People Dressed as Gorillas"
Here is your chance to get into the record books and bring the record to Canada.
The current record is Denver with 1061 gorillas.
*All “Active” gorillas will be entered in a draw for a chance to win some massages…
“Gorillas in our Mitts”…so to speak!

* Go to www.edmontongorillarun.com and Register under the Team name:
“ACTIVE LIFE CENTRE”
You can choose to walk or run, we will have an “Active” Gorilla group for each.
Adult Gorilla: $99.95 (+ $6.50 processing fee) Includes a gorilla suit which is yours to keep!
Little Gorilla: $50.00 (+$6.50 processing fee) Kids suits will fit up to 4 feet tall
*All “Active” Gorillas are encouraged to stay in the park after the run for some fun,
games, food and refreshments. The Active Life Centre is having a party and we would like you
to join us! Details about this social event will be circulated to those who register on our team.
Wonderful photo opportunities will be available!
