PTF Engineering expands into water filtration with the
acquisition of Stella-Meta
PTF Engineering (part of the Chandlers Ford based Rolwey Group) announces that it
has acquired Stella-Meta, the specialist manufacturer of water purification units for
military use. Based in Hamble, Hampshire, Stella-Meta was formerly part of ITT
Industries.
The acquisition of Stella-Meta will expand the range of services the company can offer
to include supply/maintenance of water purification units, training and logistical support
including mechanical maintenance services to the Ministry of Defence.
Stella-Meta manufactures a range of mobile water purification units, flexible water
storage tanks and distribution accessories to provide safe drinking water from any
source. There is a comprehensive range of systems including small portable units
capable of 5000 litres/day, up to larger mobile plants capable of up to 70,000 litres/day.
The units are designed to remove contaminants including nuclear, biological and
chemical from fresh or sea water sources. The company also has a contract with the
Ministry of Defence for the repair, maintenance and supply of spares including
engineering and development support.

PTF Engineering at its Eastleigh premises is well established as a supplier of fabricated
pipe work assemblies for the refineries at Fawley, where it also has engineers based
on-site for installation and maintenance.
Rolwey Group was established in the mid 1970's and as a result of investment in new
technologies and a strong company infrastructure, the business has grown rapidly over
recent years. During this period it has developed a comprehensive customer service
package including supplier chain management, stock logistics and customer product
design, development and testing.

including Formula 1 & GT cars. Products are shipped world-wide to a range of
customers, including the leading professional race teams, for use in engines,
gearboxes, hubs and suspension systems.
