ONLINE JOB RESOURCE GUIDES
These guides lead to online resources that can help prepare you to be a savvy job seeker, and
then to locate and land that JOB! The best resource guides are created by people or
organizations who are specialists. For instance, the Riley Guide was prepared and is
maintained by Margaret Riley, Librarian, a specialist in finding information!
The Riley Guide:
From the guide: The Riley Guide introduces you to the online job search, listing many online
sites and services that are useful for your job search. We do not post jobs nor resumes but
instead point you to the places that do.
Excellent resource for using the Internet for finding a job. Contains introductions to, and links
for, job resources. Sections for career fields, salary surveys, research, and help with resumes,
cover letters, and more. Compiled and regularly updated by librarian and consultant Margaret F.

JOB SEARCH AGGREGATORS
Sites like Indeed.com and SimplyHired.com collect job postings from other sites and aggregate
them into one database to be searched by job seekers. Some of their job listings come from
large job search websites such as Monster.com, CareerBuilder.com, HotJobs.Yahoo.com, as
well as many other job sites, large and small. Postings from Craigslist have not been included,
recently. Aggregators also include jobs from employer web sites.
